Enter Science – The future talk
Science meets society! Since 2022, we have been supporting the interactive future talk Enter Science – a series of events organized by the German Research Foundation and the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn. The interactive science communication format shows what scientific research has to do with our everyday lives. Tying in with current social debates and important future topics, Enter Science promotes dialog between science, culture and society.
Creative science communication
Twice a year, we curate the event content for the Enter Science talk series, bringing research topics from all disciplines to a primarily young audience. The topics are presented in a way that connects to everyday life and explored from multiple perspectives. Past talks have covered:
- Man and machine. How artificial intelligence is changing us.
- The future of nutrition. What role do genetically modified plants play?
- Immigration as an opportunity? How our society is growing together.
- Sun, water, wind. How do we achieve the climate targets?
- Guided by algorithms? How digital media influence our opinions.
Social media: Expanding the dialog
con gressa takes care of community building around Enter Science on Instagram. We manage the editorial team and prepare key questions and research findings on the event topics for a young target group. In the run-up to the talks, we encourage discussions with content-rich posts. Like Enter Science itself, the Instagram account is also designed for dialog with the community: Comments and survey results can be discussed with the panel guests during the live event. Fact check and background knowledge: After the event, we pick up on specific topics or research aspects for the Instagram channel.
