A Variety of Formats for the Max Planck Society
con gressa organizes a wide variety of events and projects for the Max Planck Society.
In June 2025, con gressa organized the Max Planck Society’s annual meeting in Magdeburg for the first time. The three-day event takes place annually at rotating locations and includes the meetings of the scientific sections, the general assembly of members, the annual general meeting, and—alternating each year—the presentation of the Stifterverband’s Founding Prize and the Harnack Medal. Each year, around 500 participants from the institutions of the Max Planck Society come together. Following the successful event in Magdeburg, we supported the 2026 Annual Meeting in Frankfurt. We are also responsible for organizing the 2027 event in Mainz.
In addition, there are numerous other formats that we design, organize, and support on behalf of the Max Planck Society, including various online events, a trainee Barcamp, the Max Planck Schools Day, and an alumni symposium. We are particularly pleased that, since October 2025, we have been able to continue our Heimspiel Wissenschaft event series in cooperation with the MPG. The project brings researchers from Max Planck Institutes back to their rural hometowns, where they talk about their research.
