Microbes 2024
We supported the organization and implementation of this conference of three clusters of excellence on infection research, including a public fishbowl discussion at the Futurium in Berlin.
The scientific symposium “Microbes – Connecting Environment and Health”, which took place at Futurium Berlin from October 1 to 2, 2024, brought together the three Clusters of Excellence “RESIST” at Hannover Medical School, “Balance of the Microverse” at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and “Controlling Microbes to Fight Infections (CMFI)” at the University of Tübingen.
The symposium brought together leading scientists to discuss topics such as antimicrobial resistance, the resilience of microbial communities, susceptibility to infection and the importance of the microbiome for health. A particular highlight was the public fishbowl discussion, which fostered exchange between civil society and leading minds from science, politics, policy advice and science journalism.
