TomorrowLabs / Long Night of Science

As an alternative to the Long Night of Science, we organized the TomorrowLabs science festival in Magdeburg in 2024. Instead of a purely scientific program, this time music and culture also came together at the Port of Science in Magdeburg.

In 2022 and 2023, we organized the Long Night of Science in Magdeburg on behalf of the city. A rethink was needed for 2024: a science festival – something different. The mixture of culture, music and interactive research contributions was ultimately the recipe for success for TomorrowLabs.

The TomorrowLabs program ran through four thematic areas – the so-called Labs: Tomorrow:Health, Tomorrow:Technology, Tomorrow:Earth and Tomorrow:Society. Always with the question in mind: How do we want to shape Magdeburg’s future together? The formats varied from dynamic soapbox science lectures to experiments, workshops, talks, job speed dating and improv theater. Visitors were able to marvel at all kinds of exhibits at the Port of Science, while DJ Renard dominated the stage program in the background.

In 2025, we have again been commissioned to organize a Science Night, which will now alternate annually with the TomorrowLabs Festival.
